IMO nothing is better than the 9500ix for a windshield mount RD if you want quiet with good sensitivity.
I also have a RedLine and its sensitivity is truly amazing (more sensitivity than the IX, and a lot more off axis sensitivity), but does false a heck of a lot more.

Maybe give your wife the 9500ix and get a new RedLine for your self. :-)

Couldn't agree w/ you two more. My wife has been the recipient of my 9500ix ever since I purchased my V1. She loves it. She would go nuts w/ a redline or V1 ear banging her every time she went to Kohl's or Target, or wherever the heck she shops. She is not an insane lead foot. She really likes that when the 9500ix does alert, there is usually a cop that follows. Just helps keep her speeding in check. Make sure you have decent parking sensors if lidar is in your area.

If you drive on the highway alot I would strongly consider the Redline. The Redline would improve your highway protection and diversify your countermeasure options for longer family trips. Give it a try for 30 days and if you don't like it more than your ix, return it for the ix. The 30 day return policy is a great way to test drive it and you already know how you like the ix.

hat ("give your wife the 9500ix and get a new RedLine for your self") -- that is my plan if I get the RedLine. Silverado -- Thanks for the recap. 90% of the time my drive is 20 miles to work and back (with most of it on the highway), which makes me lean towards the RedLine. On the other hand, one of the things I love about the 9500ix is that it rarely has false alerts. Decisions, decisions!!
It (redline) will definitely false more than the 9500iX, that being said, the redline actually has very good filtering options for occasional city use. AutoNoX works quite well in these scenarios. IMHO.
