Escort x50: I bought mine at Best Buy. Several years ago i had owned a Escort but i don't remember what number it was. Knock on wood: I have never had a problem with a escort. At this moment i am looking for a new one. Maybe STI, 9500i, or V1.
None, but I can only afford a cheap one.

Hmm...so far it seems that the new forum members aleady either are experienced RD users who knew what to buy, or that our new forum members had already done their homework before buying a RD.
V1![]()
In the late 70’s I used a good old Fox Remote. Now I am going with an Escort 9500ci.
None yet, but leaning toward V1. I plan on almost exclusive highway use.
I selected the Bel over 280, but I got my V995 for $199 just before CC closed its doors for good.
I remember CC had the V995 for 599 with 5% off the first week they were going out of business.
And when I told the salesman about the ridiculous overpricing, he told me with an attitude "good luck finding this puppy cheaper anywhere else buddy!!"
^^ You gotta be kidding! $599 for a V995? What a rip-off!
lol yeah, it was the going out of business sale...
Blurays that were selling at bestbuy and walmart for 10 dollars were 39.99 with 5% off too.
And the funny thing was people were grabbing them like crazy...
No wonder they went out of business, they had terrible customer service as well..
I was without a tv for 6 months when my big screen went out 3 months after I bought it and I had nothing but problems with them to get them fix it.
Totaly wasted 500 dollars in a 4 year extended warranty.
I got an Escort something along time ago as a gift. That has long since died and have had the V1 for the past few years.
