Angry Hello from Europe / Help Please!!!

    Hi,

My name is Vincent and I really would like to share with you my experience of using a radar detector. Problem, I don't have such a device and let me explain why.

On September 23rd, I have ordered a Valentine One on the German website of Radardetectors1. I have received a " thank you for your order" message and my credit card was charged from the amount of Euro 519,95.

Four weeks later, I called the German Sales support number to understand when I would receive it and spoke to a really nice person by the name of Steffen. He told me that he would contact the mother Company in the US and that I would receive my device within the next two weeks. Since then, no news !!!

I tried to call the the German sales support, no answer. I left a message on the US sales support number, never got a message back. I wrote several Emails to
salesradardetectors1.de, salesradardetectors1.com and aslo to wholesaleordersradardetectors1.com, still NO ANSWER !!!

At this stage, I would really appreciate any advice on how to proceed.

    Thank's in advance !
    Cheers

    Vincent

Get a dispute of charges from your Credit Card company... apparently you got scammed... you should only buy a V1 brand new from Valentine Research... Remember that VR doesn't have any retailers...

Exactly. Call your credit card company and reverse the charges. Then, order another V1 from another retailer. Problem solved.

You should buy direct because any reseller is likely to be either a scam artist or charging a huge markup, and/or not offering the latest V1 version.

If they don't ship direct, I would buy off the company suggested in the next post.

get your money back and order from Buy Radar Detectors - The Radar Detector Specialists! International Orders Information I know they ship internationally and they are also legit. And they are cheaper, 335 Euro plus shipping

    Thank you All !

Visa has been really cool and they will reverse the charges, no problem.

I went back to the website and frankly, this is pretty easy to fall in the trap.
    Have a look at radardetectors1.de/Englisch/index.asp

    Cheers

Depends on your budget. I think the 9500ci euro is the best radar detector for Europe. Because it combines the most sensitive antenna, with GPS intelligence that blocks out false alerts and warns you of speed cameras as you approach them.

The V1 is very good, especially against short burst I/O and quick trigger radar threats. However non-GPS radar detectors tend to be noisy and won't give you much if any warning of cameras.

The 9500ix will warn you of cameras, and is a very good radar detector, but is less strong against I/O and QT.

If you go for V1, you should combine it with a Cheetah mirror or Cheetah c100 to give you camera alerts and provide some filtering.
