Newbie!
Hey everyone, just thought I would write a quick post. I currently own a Whislter XTR 475, got a good deal on it I think it was about $50. I have a birthday coming up and was looking to upgrade. I have been browsing around and am amazed at the amount of information here. I am looking forward to learning much more. Thanks for any help in the future!

Yes, the V1 is good at that price point.

ha ha, its all good, it happens to us all. just check out www.radarbusters.com we sell basically all of the best detectors accept the V1 unless you get it in a combo with the LI which honestly is probably our best combination available, but for the price range you are looking at we got the 8500 x50, the rx65. the 9500ix and GX65 will be near the price range you are looking at.I appreciate the offer! GreenRadar sells Whistler, Beltronics, and Escort radar detectors...They however do NOT sell the V1 by itself (as of Dec, 2010)...maybe it has changed. I personally would go with the V1 at a $400 price point. It will be a BIG upgrade. Good luck

V1/LI Combo is basically around the best you can get, or you can get an Sti-R Plus and LI, but either one of these is going to be the TOP of the line for counter measure systems, the V1/LI combo will run you $1060.00 to $2524.00 and the Sti-R plus can run you from $1798.95 to $3298.95 keep in mind this would be without the awesome discount I would hook ya up with
