    Default L1 Dual and FHP

    Had some questions for the guys running L1 dual in FL. Especially in Palm Bch area and south FL. Have gotten nailed in Palm Bch. area around PGA. I have to travel this stretch on 95 and pike for work. I am in Brevard and no work in this area so I have to commute daily when there is work. was stopped by FHP and Sheriff (silver unmarked Challenger). Last one was FHP (unmarked white Challenger) he was using a Stalker dual at least that was what was on the ticket. Would like to know if the Stalker is used through out South FL. with FHP and Sheriff. I watched a few videos with the L1 dual vs the stalker and there was success with cars, and with a flatbed going about 30mph. I have a Dark Blue F150 super cab will I have success with the L1 dual on this truck. Also if there is a Radar Detector that you would recommend to go along with the L1 please let me know. If I wanted to add more heads later does the L1 Dual have expandable ports or does it only have the 2 for the 2 heads. If L1 wont work for me what is recommended. Also saw a biased buy who wasnt happy with customer service of the L1. Just curious how some people on her felt about their customer service. Any info is appreciated

    Stalker Dual is radar not lidar!!!

    If Cliff at LI's customer service did not make someone happy, nothing will!!! Cliff is the best ae doing right by his customers!!!

    A couple things.

    It's called LI for Laser Interceptor.

    Second, a Stalker Dual is probably referring to the 34.7 Ka radar that is used by FHP, along with many police and sheriff's departments. They also use 35.5 Kustom radar guns. For this, you'll need a radar detector. As to what radar detector to use, it comes down to preference and how much you are willing to spend.

    The LI is only for laser guns. Up here, when I see FHP using laser, it's usually a Laser Atlanta gun, though I know there are others. Down there, you're probably also seeing PLIIIs and Pro Lites. The LI, along with most other jamming systems, will take care of those guns.

    Two LI heads, or 3/4 Blinder heads should be enough for most, if not all shooting scenarios, though testing would be needed to be sure. More heads can be added to the LI if needed.

    As far as the service, it seems everyone here who has dealt with Cliff has nothing but good things to say about his service.

    Your in my part of town. I know the white/black/silver/light blue unmarked chargers very well. They mostly run KA-band. The silver one loves laser as he uses LA. They patrol I-95 especially the carpool lane. The white unmark charger and his buddy white unmark Impala LOVES to camp out under the Okeechobee bridge like trolls. I encounter them around the area 50% of the time either in ambush position or with a customer. PGA is guarded by Palm beach police and only a few troops uses PL3, they mostly run KA.
    To protect your car, you got 2 choices. A 4-head Blinder system or the LI-Dual. I personally like LI but both will give great customer support or service. As for radar, I have used the Rx-75, Escort X50, 9500CI, and V1. I love the V1 and thats never gonna change. False alert on K-band is minimal on highway but chatty in city unless you config the V1 to supress K-band alert in Little "L" mode.

    Thanks for the info. since U are in this area U think it is worth obtaining the LI due to there are enough of them running Laser? U mentioned a V1 for radar. What kind of response time do you have to react? also in your opinion what percent of them run radar and what percent run laser? on the V1 is there a readme on config of the V1 to supress K-band alert in Little "L" mode?

    I've only ever seen one comment from a customer who wasn't satisfied with LI's customer service in the last two years, and that guy simply could not be satisfied, no matter what. They sent him a post paid mailer to return the product, but instead, he just kept it and complained about it. Some people just live to whine.

    Anyone using the Veil in the mid FL. and south area how well does it work for you. Also anyone else have recommendations for a radar detector for these areas. DrCoke recommended some look like good units but are pricey. Looks like most do both but if used in accordance with LI what detector is relevant. If I am to purchase the LI do I need a detector for laser? Also is applying veil necessary if using LI.
    Any info is appreciated
