New LA's shipping with Jam Detect On

I've been informed that the new Laser Atlanta's are shipping with the jam detect software turned on from the factory. I know it's been documented that the LA falses a lot with this code. A member had PM'd me about getting pulled over very recently in Toronto because the LEO's "brand new" Laser Atlanta gun indicated the members vehicle was equipped with a jammer. I know it's been mentioned no update would be made, but now, if all new LA's come with Jam Detect on, shouldn't a software update be done NOW to avoid all the hassles of being pulled over for that code?

The LA just indicates JA codes way to often to effectively elliminate the jam codes is my suspicion.

Did the member get a ticket for the jammer? Did he even have a jammer?

You guys in Canada should be hitting up The Chariot and finding out when he's going to have his fiber system available. That will make it very hard for them to find your jammer heads!!!

My LA which was built in May of this year did not come with Jam Detection on, I had to turn it on. However, I have never pulled a JA-3 unless I am shooting my car which is an instant JA-3. I don't know if that just pertains to my shooting and being able to hold the gun still or if they did some updates on the gun making it false less, we will see this Saturday at the Dallas meet.

Shoot it at night or with the sun reflecting of the target, instant JA3 even if they have no jammers!!!

My LA came back from Laser Atlanta with Jam codes enabled in 2007 and back in March.

I sent my unit in in 2007, they cleaned and tested, upgraded the circuit board and updated to version 6.21 for me.

When I got it back the jam codes were enabled, but obstructed and stealth mode were turned off. The menu was also the basic menu and not advanced.

The unit was giving me an error message this spring and I sent it back to be calibrated and to have it fixed. I shut off all the features and put the menu in basic mode when I shipped it. When it came back it ws still in basic menu mode and Jam detection was certainly enabled.

Not sure if you can make a blanke statement but perhaps when they re-flash the new firmware it is set for Jam Detection enabled.

Ivan stated he could not get the jam codes to disappear and I have seen them several times from the road, cars without jammers (especially in the rain) and helicopters among other things.
