FINALLY got hit with LIDAR post-LI install! (and I/O Ka the night before...)

I was driving eastbound on I4 in FL earlier this evening with the wife, coming back from Sears to buy a washer/dryer. Ugh, being a grownup sucks. Anyway, I was driving around 12-13 over PSL of 70 in the left lane, showing the wife where the FHP officer was hiding the last time I got lasered in that area. Details of that encounter can be found in a previous thread HERE. Ironically, just a few miles down the road I approach an overpass and I get a blip of Ka radar. (These FHP guys must be lazy as hell; they almost all pretty much run their C/O radar even if they're using laser to run speed.) I start to lift, and immediately get hit with LIDAR from an FHP trooper parked under the overpass standing outside his driver's door. My V1 instantly lit up, LI started screaming, 2-3 drops of pee came out, and I instantly slowed to PSL and JTK. He was so close and it all happened so fast I didn't even have time to find out what he was using or I would've JTG. I glanced over as i passed him, and he was holding his LIDAR gun down in front of his chest, looking down at it perplexed. It was AWESOME!

Also, last night I was driving back home at around 1am on I-95 northbound with the wife from the Orlando area. I was in the right lane, cruising at 9-10 over PSL as I had no rabbits in front of me. I came up to one of those wide tree-lined medians where police love to hide, and everything was fine and quiet. All of a sudden, BAMMMM! I/O Ka full blast, I slowed to PSL and saw two FHP cars 69ing in an authorized vehicle only U-turn spot after the wide median, running speed both ways. I was under his threshold as he didn't come out after me... whew! As I passed them, I got hit with another I/O blast from the rear which I think was the other LEO running speed in the opposite direction. It definitely woke me up, and that one resulted in about 5-6 drops escaping... :P Exciting weekend to say the least!

Isn't that the best? I had a similar experience with a Lidatek LE-20 installed in a prior vehicle.

Always helps to have KA alerts during LIDAR in progress.. lidar trap fail!! That's uncanny of FHP as they are pretty dangerous when they run traps around SWFL here. I bet it's thrilling to get your first laser attack after LI purchase!!

Glad that you JTK and not JTG, good strategy combined with good technology is what makes LIDAR countermeasure so effective.

It's funny, I was getting hit with LIDAR left and right until I actually installed the LI. After installing, I hadn't even seen any LEOs running LIDAR until yesterday. If you guys don't have an LI kit yet, what the hell are you waiting for???

Go on Fruitville rd on a business day starting from 301 and going East..Sometime between 10AM and 2PM - You will almost certainly run into a ultralyte totin moto cop. I've ran into them 2 times already in the last few weeks.
