    Default Really easy question #2

Are any of the jammers able to be run in 'standby' or 'sensor mode' only? Would be useful if driving PSL and no need for jamming, but would still like to know if targeted.

That's one thing at which the ZR4s excel.

You could install them like this:

But then, the more of those types out there the better. They will support the theme of "jammers do not work".

So I gather that the actual answer to my query is 'no'.. not a big deal, but would be a nice feature.

    Arrows or audio front+rear
    Standby sensor only mode.

    That would be incorrect.

Read post # 2 in this thread (by swarga)...

Many here use the ZR4's in receive only... where they work exceptionally well.

Ok, I read that as being facetious... (ZR4's great but only as sensors - which I guess is a fact)
Thanks for the clarification. (You never know here when someone is serious or kidding).

But then LI's and Blinders I presume do not have receive only mode. ? (My OP should have been more specific - I was mentally excluding ZR4s)

Well, it is and it isn't.

As receivers they are top notch. It's just the jamming part they suck at.

Regarding using LIs or Blinders, why would you waste the money on kick-ass jammers and not use them for jamming? Or do I misunderstand your intended use?

I thought about this going to work today. I was driving in residential area, PSL is 25, I am driving 25.
Two local PD LEOs are standing on the sidewalk, playing with their new LIDAR gun, they shoot my car. So in that case, I don't need to jam or mess with kill switch, but it would be nice to know they were there shooting.

So you want something like Escort's AutoMute or a Cheetah mirror which will disable the jamming function automagically if you are below a certain speed yet still allow the receive function to work. The ZR4s won't help you there - you have to manually turn the shifter function on and off via the menu. I don't know if any of the other jammers can work that way.
