I have a Nuvi 205. Not flashy, basic features but it WORKS! I'd consider myself a pretty hardcore GPS user because I travel to strange places a couple hundred miles away from home on a regular basis for my work.

Sometimes I'm a little spooked at how dependent I am on a GPS and a Blackberry... Sticky tires help too...

Trapster loads on it pretty easy as well.

It comes in real handy in strange places when I need to find a Wal-Mart or Best-Buy or something.

I really want an in dash setup, some of the new models I've been checking out have 3d mapping now so when you need to make a turn somewhere you can tell because of building shapes and sizes now, its pretty insane. Just dont have the $1500 extra laying around for one...

I understand. I remember when the DNX7100 ($1300+) came out a few years ago I told myself I'd wait to get it when I could get one for a reasonable price. Even though there are newer better models out now (DNX8120)... I can't justify spending over twice as much for something that just has a few more features than mine.

Just pick one out that you'd like to have now... then wait a year or two for people to be selling them used. Mine is in perfect condition and I wouldn't have been able to it's used if I hadn't known.

In a year or two, I'll probably want something else already haha.

So I ended up with the Nuvi 255W. I love it so far! The widescreen is sweet!

Now I just need to hardwire my V1, and my Sirius nonsense, and then I'll have some 12V plugs so I can actually use all of my stuff at once!
