    RMR all the way baby!!!
I can honestly say that I have never gotten a ticket while using an RMR unit. (most likely because I do not own one.)

with all the people that think they work because of their mostly false claims, and all the leo's writing tickets to RMR owners, It makes outlawing RD's somewhat laughable!!
Way to go Churchman! keep up the shoddy work!!! oh, the laser stick is wonderful too from the test results I've seen. Tape a dog turd to your grill and see the same results.

oh yeah, I almost forgot that they subbed out the work to the far-east and are re-branding an asian-made box now!!

    Default RMR...

LOL I thought I would put in RMR to see how many ppl actually would actually vote on it.

I don't know a whole heck of a lot about RMR but from what I do know they're pretty crappy units...

Where would one buy an RMR detector?

I own an X50, which I am happy with and will keep for a long time. But I voted V1. It's probably what I would have bought, but I paid $239 (from an authorized dealer...I really lucked out) for my X50 and could not rationalize the V1 being $160 better.

The poll asked "which is your favorite", not "which is the best value to you".

Out of curiousity, I went to the RMR website. Boy, if you had done NO research at all, you'd think that RMR made a world-class detector. I don't know how you don't go to jail for making such false claims. I noticed two things:

    1. There were no "media" or "press" links to stories or third parties corraborating their claims.
    2. Their FAQ section mentions Radar Roy and gets all defensive. Pretty good sign of guilt.

Default RMR done me no wrong...

I guess I can't say that RMR has done me wrong either since I've never owned (and never will) one.

I've been fortunate enough to own decent radar detectors.

My favorite from Bel is the 985 and the Passport X50 but nothing beats the new V1 ver. 3.851.

I like the new STi but based on the self cal issues ppl are reporting I was extremely reluctant to buy one.

V1 from my understanding has great customer support and that was the huge selling point for me.

My favorite wasn't on the poll, so I added it.

Uh... and there isn't a single remote unit on this list either. That's why these polls are kinda dumb... and the fact that most people have experience with only 1 or 2 radar detectors so in a lot of cases "your" favorite is simply based off what other people tell or show you.

*And just to clarify, my "your" and "you" references above are not about stealthJamal. They are referring to the voting population in general.
