Hard wire with mute button problem, help.

I hard wired my 9500I a few weeks ago and everything was fine till this morning, it didn’t turn on (it’s on a remote start). I checked if it was the RD with my regular smart cord and it worked fine so it’s definitely the hard wire. Next I took my meter out and checked the fuse & power and that was fine. finally I checked the phone jack on my smart cord that worked and with the plastic clip facing down I got from left to right 10.80v-12.20v-0v-0v on the hard wire install I tested in the same way 10.80v-12.20v-0v-0v. What can it be?

I double checked the ground and still nothing so I figured I would try my 8500 non x50. Tried the 9500i nothing, plugged in the 8500 and it turned on so then I tried the 9500i again and now it works... :shock:

Goes to show if you try to fix something and you’re not afraid to try chances are you might fix it without knowing how you did it.
I don’t know how many things I have fixed just by taking them apart and putting them back together.

LOL yea, sometimes you get lucky
