The 985 is an older platform, there is an older 940 as well, they both have the same platform, but the 985 has more features.

If you mean the newer 940, with the new style case then that is a matter of opinion if it is better than the 985. The 985 I believe is based off the s7 platform which was recently discontinued but a great platform none the less.

How you can tell the newer 940 is it has a modular jack like you phone has. The older 940 has a barrel style (round) jack.

All the reviews say it is one of the best RD you can get for KA. dont no if this is true

Reviews for the 985 you mean? or the 940?

I can tell you the only way to get a 985 is used, they have not been made for 3 plus years. The 985 is very good for Ka.
