    Default Antenna Design Idea

    Someone should try a antenna that employs the golden ratio = 1.61803399. A perfect match of depth and length. Great off-axis coverage, plus long rang pick up. This ratio is mathematically amazing and seems possible that it could apply to antenna design.

    Or perhaps someone has the dimensions of a V1 or STI antenna for comparison... Maybe RD manufacturers are already use it. Who knows...

    You should have probably patented this idea, cobra will read this thread tonight patent it and never put it to use.

    Good point. I just emailed Valentine the (potentially bogus) idea. Maybe they can do some research and make a new version. I don't have the time to actually fuss with the idea, I just want RD's to get better!

    I don't think I can patent a use of the golden number. I think german prof Michael Maestlin beat me by about 500 years.
