Best Radar/Laser jammer setup?

I have a new Silver Porsche 997 and I am looking for the best radar/laser jammer setup. After reading this board for a few hours, I am almost convinced that the Escort 8500 x50, plus the Escort Shifter ZR3 may be the best solution. I have based this decision mostly on compatability of the two components. I would like to hardwire the detector and mount directly below or beside my rear view mirror. Does the x50 come with a visor clip?

I would appreciate any advice or recommendations. I have an unlimited budget for this project.

I would personaly wait till the new blinder prototype comes out or get the AL6. X50 does not come with visor mount. I have owned all three Rds. Only Rd that comes with all the assec. is v1. It came with hardwire kit, coiled cigaretee power cord, visor mount, windshield mount, extra suction cups.

looks like the KSP are stepping up these days? I still get the louisville & lexington locals in Delaware and I see that the minimum fine is 125 dollars these days!

in your case, mad props on a beautiful car! A great thing about KY as you know we dont have front licence plates *huge perk* and we dont have any vehicle inspections to licence a car! Which I miss so much but only have a year left in the military and cant wait to get back.

If you want the best detector then by all means you have to go with the Valentine 1. I've owned the rx-65 & the x50, and now after having the arrows with the best range you cant beat the V1. If you are mainly going to drive 64E or W / or on 75 you are going to get great range with minimum falses! If you are going to be driving in downtown areas or in areas with lots of automatic doors the V1 can drive you nuts. However we can help ya set it to be less annoying!

I have found dover, de to be the worst city in the world for a detector being we only have 1 main road and every buisness sits about 50yrds from the road and they all have a automatic doors. But I now have the V1 where I only have to automute it about once a trip. Once I upgrade to 3.825 I hear it will be even nicer!

Now for the jammer, right now we are in a crucial time. With the release of the Antilaser V6 rumored to be onsale, at the end of the month I would highly recommend it. Since you are on an unlimited budget you could get 4 heads for full front & rear protection. By any chance do you know what laser guns the KSP purchased? If its the Pro Laser III we are in luck!

another option would be to wait for the new prototype version of the blinder to be released. its going to offer a smaller led head, more power for hopefully better jamming. the test on the prototype proved to be very succesful.

I dont like the option of the zr3 because having 3 huge jamming heads on your beautiful porche is just not an option in my book. the other con the heads are not replaceable so if you gets damaged by a rock you have to buy awhole new unit.

the last possible choice has got to be the Lidatek's at the moment. I love them for there small size but in testing they have proved to be very non consistent. I know they are still working out a few issues with a few guns and I belive in a year they will have a great product!

My recommendation wait for the new Antilaser V6 to hit the market. From what I can tell no one is going to be disappointed with this unit if it works like the prototype!

Radar detector is n o doubt the V1.....for a laser jammer i would wait a few months till all the production jammers are released

The Escort X50 does no tcome with a visor clip and I'd get the BEL RX65 since i bet most of your will be on the highway and the added Ka range will be perfect for ya

If you cant wait buy the X50 along with the ZR3 and mount all of the heads in the front. I never thought that I would ever recommend the ZR3 but that darn thing impressed the hell out of me. Make sure that you mount all three heads on the front though. If i was you though i would wait until the AL6 comes out. Now that jammer is the Labron James of jammers.

Thanks for replies guys. I do currently have a V1, I last sent it in about 18 months ago - I suppose I should check what version I have. I do get a lot of false alarms in town, but it works fine on the interstate highways. The only problem I have is that on the Bluegrass/Western KY Parkway (East/West Interstates) there is very little traffic, therefore the "instant ons" can be troublesome.

Who is the manufacturer of the Antilaser V6? I'd love to learn more about it.
