I need a reasonably priced camcorder that I can shoot video of tests and then download to my computer..Any suggestions...I would like nitepix so I can see IR video..Cant be to expensive.

I like my Sony with a 30 gig hard drive. Gives lots of recording time and has nightshot mode. I think it was in the $400 range but that was about 6 months ago, might be cheaper now.Originally Posted by BLINDER-GUY

Buy the Sony DCRSR45 30GB Handycam Hybrid Camcorder and other Camcorders at circuitcity.com
You can also record to SD cards if you like.

The cheapest one with a HD you can get. I have the DCR-SR42 with a 30GB HD and the newer Sony Night Vision. I paid under $250 shipped with a coupon found by Googling "Sony Outlet Coupon Code". I had to wait a few days till more refurbished units came back in stock but check every AM as that is when they Update their Refurbished Inventory. It was received in Brand New Inventory condition!

Had one of those and hated it. It recordes in a special format that you have to all kinds of special software to convert it so you can upload it to computer or internet...I returned it 3 days ago.
