Does this have to be enabled (up arrow) for b, C, d, E, F, and G to work?

Will these run in all modes? or do I have to be in Logic or adv-logic?

And what exactly does options b, C, D do? And why are some of the letters capitalized and some not?

option 7 is enabled when the arrow is facing down. when it's disabled (arrow up), options b-G are disregarded. when it's enabled (arrow down), it uses whatever settings you selected for b-G.

capitalization matters because it would be impossible to distinguish a b/8 and d/0 with a 7-segment display.

The reprogramming instructions indicate that (b) through (G) can only be enabled if (7) is enabled, but it seems that on some or all models (mine does it) (G) may be enabled without (7) enabled making it possible to enable rear K band automute only. Give it a try.

does it do it while you're in A mode, with 7 enabled?

i thought 7 is only enabled while in any of the logic modes? and disregarded while in A mode.

That was a good question! No, (A) mode disables (G) arrow down bringing back all alerts to regular volume just like it does with any other automuting feature.

Yes, that is true I am just saying that (G) arrow down will automute rear K band even when leaving (7) at factory default (arrow up) but only in a logic mode.

Will somebody try this with a 3.826? Just change (G) only "don't touch (7)" and use (I) logic mode to see if it still disables regular volume at K rear.

i'll try it out, i pass by a K-band door every day to school and back ops:

if i understand correctly, these are the settings to test:
7 - inactive (factory default)
G - mute (not factory default)
small "|_" logic mode

You did it correctly oh well, like the instructions said it was only supposed to work when (7) was enabled, I guess it was a 1.7 flaw but they could have left it the way it was as it did not hurt anything.
