what exactly are you looking for in a detector...what do you run into a lot of ...ie k band, ka band? I/o or c/o...do you need a remote or want one?
I've tested a pro 3600...i have a few videos out there. with that being said i'll give you my opinion. If you are looking for a less expensive remote detector than this is a step in the right direction. Of course it will not have the stealth like the sti or 9500ci or the extreme range. What it does have is repectable range on I/o great ka range with max id. Now the only downfall is k band. It was said to be ramped up a tiny bit from the windshield mounts...which i think it was. I also own a 695se. The k band won't be like crazy good but i believe it's good enough...now the downside other than k band is falses ka9 falses for me. I felt like no matter what filter i put that thing on i still got false alerts A LOT! I never really got into the 4th filter they had just the first two...but i felt like if i needed the 3rd and 4th it wasn't worth it. If you need a remote detector that's less expensive then get it! If k band is your main threat i would stay away there are better choices like a refurb 8500 s7 that will be better. Just my 2 cents of someone who had one...oh i forgot having a rear antenna was really cool made it act like a v1![]()
3600 will get the few cobra owners who wants to upgrade since price is soooooooo cheap under 300$$
The 3600 is attractive to more than just Cobra users that want to upgrade, it is attractive to anyone wanting a remote unit with great performance and a price that will not break the bank.
The next competitive model is the Qi-45 and RX-45 costing you more and providing less features.
The 3600, Qi-45 and RX-45 all good units as far as performance is concerned, so you need to ask yourself what is it that you want or need in a remote unit then make the decision that is right for you.
Thanks Michael, I'm going to stick with the whistler and get the 3600! I like the expandable options. Right now they don't have Red light cameras in my area but if they do i can just order the GPS options and ta-da!
