I was in Southern California again last week and I get a few of the Ka>>>>>>>9 falses but nothing that I couldn't live with. The good thing about it is that it is easy to tell that it is a false. Whenever I get a signal that doesn't go quickly to KA>>>>9 it is a LEO. My Pro78SE saved me more than once during my time in Souther Cal. 5 CHP on Ortega Highway!

When you figure it out let me know...had an old school Pro-3450 and if you turn off X-Band it just falses K-Band or Ka-Band when passing an X-Band source such as intersection changers. Leave X-Band on and it will find the X-band and won't false the other bands. The X confusion is split pretty even between K and Ka, meaning if X is off half the time it will claim it's K-Band and the other half it will claim Ka-Band.

The newer generation whistlers do not report X as Ka at all.

I am really happy that someone was finally really willing to actually try to work the problem out with Mike. It'll be interesting to see what you two figure out.

Hats off to both of you guys!

I have dealt with Michael B over the past 3 years with my older Pro-78, and he is without doubt the best person that you would ever want to go to solve your Radar Detector problems. He has set the standard for the entire radar detector industry in both engineering and customer satisfaction.

It took me exactly 1 post for MB to offer his help. That is the definition of CS.

My Pro68se falses often when my cellphone drops out of service, or jumps to another tower. I've noticed it many times... (droid X on Verizon if it makes any difference).

    Anyone else noticed the same?

Michael B does provide excellent CS, he shipped me a speaker for my old Whistler 1585 at no charge and he did it fast. Didn't sit on it.
Outside Independence Hall when the Constitutional Convention of 1787 ended, Mrs. Powel of Philadelphia asked Benjamin Franklin, "Well, Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?" With no hesitation whatsoever, Franklin responded, "A republic, if you can keep it."

I contacted Mike B about my pro 78, my display went dead, detector still worked and you could hear sound. So I sent it off, he received my unit 3 days later, touched up the connections to my display, tested it and tested it again the next day and then shipped it off. Since it was still under warranty Mike did not charge a dime. Got it back today and plugged it in and the display works like a charm!! Even included a new power cord!! Mike B has set standards and is the best of the best when it comes to CS!! Thank you Mike!!

I had a Laser Ally unit that was intermittent. Even though it is not his product, Mike flew down to Atlanta and repaired the unit at no cost. Then before he left, he changed the oil in my truck and gave everyone in the office a lollipop.

JUST KIDDING! Don't flame me. I know Mike from some independent testing and I believe everything everyone is saying here. Wish he was on my team. I do think, however, he used my Steeler's Terrible Towel, when he was changing the truck oil......
