I got lucky too, I had the Vette in the shop this week for a noise it was making when turning hard right.
They noticed the inside edge of the front tires were completely worn out. So now the Vette is waiting for tires to be shipped in, seems no one is stocking these sizes any longer.
At least they caught it before it blew out.

^ And another thought on this.
If HIDs "help" in terms of LIDAR protection, what happens, then, when VEIL is used to cover the lights? Is the result reinforcement of protection, or degradation? ---> i.e. if the protective effects of HID is somehow IR-emissions related, then would VEIL, in cutting IR transmission, cause a net-negative effect than to just use HIDs which are proven to work protectively?
Also, does the HID's color-temperature come into play, or is it more the specific optics?
This is going to be a hard question to answer, when all the potential confounding variables are brought into play.
