    Default x50 power-on question

Is it better to have it on standard? I like fast, but does putting fast on decrease performace?

It shouldn't. I can't tell any difference between the two on my RX65.

it doesnt make a difference. as far as i know, the full poweron doesnt do any further testing than a regular. it just gives you all the alerts so you know what sounds they make when you get a real alert. but once you're familiar with the device, you shouldn't need the normal mode, unless you like it for the "ooh factor" that you get from your passengers when you start the car
