    Default expert meter question

i have not seen a 2 ka or ka alert yet not sure why hope its not the detector.. anyway... when you receive a dual k band say the tone you hear will it be the same for both.. i mean will i still hear only one alert or does it have a different tone for the stronger of the 2.. or even 2 different tones for each when recieving both ?? curious here since i havent seen it yet.. still considering getting another one but without 2 tones not sure how well this exp meter is actually in comp to the rx65 especially since i didnt want to spend the extra money for the other car and was gonna get red and i am worried it will wash out in the fl sun.. so if i cant hear both and cant see them it seems kinda pointless unless i get blue? am i wrong.. thanks

The tone will be the exact same with 2 Kband tones, it does not have a bogey-lock tone like the V1, the way you tell its not a false or another LEO is because the signal strength should be much greater then you would expect.

its hard to explain, but its very obvious when you pick up another threat and it if is something that is worth slowing down for.... So far im so pleased with how quite the X50 is. about 80% of my alerts are real compared to the V1 i had which about 20% were real. but it has a very disntinct sound as to when you pick up another alert.

I dont know about the red face in the sun but i will say this about blue,if the sun is from behind your left shoulder hitting the blue face forget it ,i experienced that the other day and its terrible.

if you detect K band and a Ka threat is detected the sound will change right away, now if another K is detected it will just show 2 bars with no distinct tone(however the tone changes according to the strongest threat) but it is pretty easy to notice that so a bogey lock tone is not necessary in most situations
