Maybe I should have tried my tests a few times, but when i went by a K-band radar sign, I tried my K sensitivity (rx65) with City Lox(Low X), Highway, and Autoscan. I went by 1 time with each setting. The sign was down a hill after a curve with trees on both sides of the road, so it was a tough test. This is what I noticed:

City Lox= Caught K second fastest, gave a K2 reading when first picked up.
Highway= Caught it the fastest, gave a K1 reading when first picked up and caught it the farthest away.
Autoscan= Picked up the slowest, gave a K3 reading when picked up.

Obviously i couldn't get distance readings(i wish i could), and im not claiming my results are scientific. However, when the readings were picked up there were definite differences that anyone could notice.
The only round i did this "test" gave me confident enough answers. Plus i think i was attracting too much attention from the neighbors

Just this morning I was able to test these features on my RX65 on a Gatso speed camera,in the same location that I posted on another thread, but was in heavy traffic.Today there was only minor traffic,so I was able to do 4 passes, from front and rear. Not once in any modes did my signal strength drop, and only in city mode was there a difference in distance by about 10-20 metres less pick up/Autoscan was probably about 5-10 metres earlier. It picked the camera up from behind at an average of 250 metres and from the front about 400 metres.Didn't have the V1 with me today so wasn't able to test it.The camera was set up in half mode ie,taking readings in one direction only (was a dual lane hwy with median strip in the middle) so power would have been lower from the radar, which was operating at 24.158Ghz (used tech mode).
Was again pretty happy with the RX65.
Other than picking up falses from door openers( which you eventually can easily id),I guess because the sensitivity is so goooodd. It is a super unit for Gatso cameras.
