Default Percentage of Drivers with Jammers?

I saw a thread a while back concerning the percentage of drivers using RDs, but does anyone have similar figures for Laser Jammers? How often would you say you see another vehicle with jammers?

I have 5 lidar guns, I occasionally (once a month) go out and shoot traffic for an hour or so. I rarely run across someone with a RD, I NEVER run across a jammer!!

My guess would be 1/10 of 1% or less.

Exactly what I was going to say. And out of that 1%, I'd say about 1/20th have a good laser jammer.

I'm sure it's VERY few. The RD.net membership has a large percentage owning jammers, but we're but a tiny speck of the total driving population.

So far, other than people I've met from this forum, I've only seen ONE jammer on a car in a parking lot. And it was a ZR3/ZR4 rear head on the rear plate that I noticed.

What would be more interesting is a breakdown of what makes/models of jammers are most commonly seen outside of our little group here. I bet most non-RD.net folks have never heard of LI, or even Blinder. They may only know of Escort's offerings, if that. Of course, there's the real crappy ones like RMR but those don't count since those don't work.

Hehe... exactly. We should be careful about freely assigning the label "jammer" to crap that doesn't actually jam!

5 lidar guns!? That would be fun to play around with.

But even 1/10th of 1% in the US should be around 200,000! Thats seems like quite a few, I believe that's 1:1000. I was going to guess somewhere between 1:5000 to 1:10,000, but I could very well be far off.

I believe I have only ever noticed one jammer.

Everytime I thought I saw a jammer, it turned out to be an EZ Pass.

Other than RD.NET members, I've yet to see one vehicle with a jammer in Ontario. My Sister in law is a Toronto Copper, and she didn't even know what they are, or what they look like.

I've only seen two other jammers. Both were Escort 950ci installs with ZR4 heads. One was on a Mercedes SUV and the other was being installed on a Ferrari F430.
