    Default 2 questions on Veil

First I have a 2004 corolla looks like this
    http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h1...004corolla.jpg

I am interested in getting veil with those huge reflective headlights(still no front plate on car as old front plate was damaged on my previous car in head on collision not my fault), but I have read several instances of flaking or chipping within several days of application, is this fairly common, which it seems to be from what I am reading which makes the 100 bucks hard to spend for what sounds like a great product on paper.

Next question is whats the best way to clean it off when it does flake and a new app is needed?

Thanks for your help and input
    Chris

veil will help your headlights, however your front end has a lot of flat surface. Plate shots (if you are using veil) will be more deadly then headlight shots in this case.

I would get a plate cover, veil both sides of it - and stick it on your headlights.

To bad plate covers are illegal here in MN, I just run it now with no plates in front at all, no leo has bothered me with it thankfully. Ive been driving it this way for 2 years, bought new. Thanks for the ideas. Still interested in chipping and flaking of veil problems, is it widespread or not. sorta seems like it from posts i have read.

Well, even if it flakes/chips after ur 1st application, u still have enough veil left over for many more applications.
As for taking veil off, I heard that soaking it in Windex for several minutes should do it in order to get it off.
I put Veil on my car 2 weeks ago...I'll check how my application looks after i finis writing this post.

I also had an idea ( dont know if it works, since i'm not that good/familiar with cars )...how about taking the light covers off/out and veil the inside of the light cover instead of the outside...What do u guys think?

    Edit:
My applications still looks like on the first day...so everything is ok

I'm thinking it may melt if it's applied to the inside of your headlights but I'm not sure.

the primary problem that I think is the cause of my Veil chipping, and in some parts there are small strips off, is the heat generated from my headlight bulbs (Sylvania Silverstar 9005s) but to get to that nice glittery white color they burn at about 4100 deg. Kelvin (THATS HOTTTTT).

I can draw this conclusion because it only does the chipping and stripping around the low beam reflector cone, the high beams, turn signals and corner lenses are all fine

so I would assume putting it on the inside of the light housing wouldnt be a good idea

    so I agree with orbital75

right as far as I know nobody has tried before, but if you wanna be the guinea pig, by all means knock yourself out, tell us the results ill admit it would be interesting to see what would happen after, a week, month, etc.
