Lol, clears that up, doesn't it? So they went BACK into the detector business?
At least it gives Cobra someone to be better than.

Yeah, exactly. It's similar terrain that they test 802.11G wifi and report back 5 miles from a home grade router. Perfectly... ideal... conditions.Originally Posted by thestaton

I was hoping someone could be able to clarify this statement that I found under "all band detection"
Are they trying to say that 33.8 isn't used by many states? The Q3 RH SM does not qualify for performance certification. Forty of the fifty states have standardized on Ka band at 34.7 GHz and 33.8 GHz is rarely seen thus the importance of detecting 33.8 GHz is of greatly diminished value.
Hello,
33.8 is alive here in northeast/central and western Illinois. Lena and Durand Illinois use MPH Bee III's. If I remember right, they use 33.8.
IMHO: the test is a joke. The GOL tests are lots better. Ok, they do use 'real' LEO's. But the last one I talked to didn't understand the difference between SLM or Directional mode. I think most of the group that have radar units understand them more then he did.
Take care,

No, i'm just telling you they are well known for being crap just like Rmr, "the forbidden brand", and Cobra.......Originally Posted by bkrell

Lol. That's what I'm saying. I know they are and knew when I got it.
bkrell likes buying crap detectors consciously, then entertaining us with stories about how crappy they are.
Speaking of that, bkrell, you wanna get your hands on an extremely low end Whistler XTR?

Uhh. . can someone explain to me how these things happened:
Run 1: X, X, K, K, K, K (All Mode)
Run 2: X, X, X, X, K, K, K, K (Adv Logic Mode)
Run 3 : X (4), K (6) (Logic, No x)
How did 4 signals get through .. and how in gawds name did 4 X band signals get picked up in L mode. . but not in A mode?
