KA guard is enabled. All of the options are set to factory default. I did try it in another car.

V1 repairs cost $45.

I bought mines used (3.812) so not under warranty. It was only $45.

The "dude" that sold it to me is a friend of 25 years and used it in his porsche turbo for the last 2 years with no problems. I highly doubt he stole it or ripped me off. He only sold it to get a 9500ci.

In that case, it's an amazing coincidence that it somehow broke between the time your friend removed it from his car and the time you plugged it into yours.

In any case, there is no question that it needs repair. Perhaps your very good friend would be willing to split the repair cost with you?
