Welcome :P Hey, you don't have it upside down do ya? :P JK

Make sure antennas have unobstructed view of the front/rear, it's possible the signal is strongest in front, because of reflections.. or maybe your arrows are just somehow wired backward? Goto a CVS or something with door openers, and test it..

Yeah I was parked in front of my house and it was saying x-band behind me when i knew they were infront...

I went out searching for Ka and of course you can't find it....no local even left the gun on like they usually do

Just so we are clear I am currently driving a jeep cherokee sport and have the V1 mounted mid-windshield. I will mount high soon

So far since the arrows weren't 100% correct I am not sold but the V1 has the best suction mount of any detector I have used. It is effortless unlike my testy BEL mount which takes for ever to get off!!!!

Forgot to mention how light weight it is?
I mentioned in another thread... in crowded places with a lot of stray radar bouncing around, the arrows and possibly the bogey counter are going to get confused. The radar picture in that situation is just chaotic and the V1 can't sort it out. As AirMoore said, no big deal. And you're right, the V1 is light. The older model I sent in on trade for my new one last month must have weighed 3/4 again as much as my new one. Really surprising the weight difference. And the suction cup mount I'm using is left over from my first V1 and has been stuck to my windshield 24/7/365 for at least five solid years.

this was my original use for the v1, between syracuse and nyc, driving on 80,81,90,87. you are pretty tricked out now with the v1, and like everyone else is saying, the arrows work better at higher speeds and in open areas, such as the highway. make sure u keep that baby in little-L mode if u pass thru NJ and have x-band on (also k is a threat). big L should be good for NYS.

and that jammer u got....i wanna be like u now

Well I said earlier I have a friend aboard in London for the semester. So I possibly might be going to add another jammer to my car around, April. There is no way I am giving up my lidateks...They are the only jammer(currently availablein USA) to give JTGs with a handheld LTI ultralyte

Turn the V1 off for 5 minutes... I dare you.

Yeah its harsh trying to find LEO's as of late (I also live in NYS Rob)... but (im sure you know this also), they come out in full-force in about a month when the weather warms up and people start to speed more because they arent hampered by the snow!

I returned the V1 two months ago after having it for two weeks. Not that great. I would have liked to know how the one I had in 1995 stacked up against it. I do remember more noise because of the greater width of the V1. However, I find it useless. The main reason I got rid of it is because of POP falsing and the number reason was the Laser falsing. Every car with the bright blue/white lights made it go off. It was worthless. I have supported Mike throughout the years. He is losing his advantage. When his patent comes up in 2007 on his arrows I think his sales go down and he goes out. I use to laugh at Bel and Escort. Then that changed a few years ago when I bought my rx65 because of Roy's reveiw. I just recently had it updated to 4.5. Then I bought the rx65 for my other car v2.9 m4. Much better. Looking forward to the GOL test. The amount of money that Bel/Escort are putting into r&d it is showing they will pass Mike in the next few years an all fronts. They sell soo many more units than Mike and their profit margins are higher. Mike's sales have been dropping for years . I do think Mike uses the best materials. All of his products over the years have been hard to beat. The perfect RD is still not out. All the top three work well on a four lane Highway but in the City they all need help. So I bought another Rx65, still not a perfect RD but does not false on laser all the time. That was my test results. I like the arrows alot and that is it. My V1 got stolen about 6 years ago and not impressed with the new breed.

Well to top it off the downtown in my college town is filled with cops during the weekend nights so I stayed sober in hopes of finding traps or cops with radar on and guess what? NONE!!!!!!!

I am hoping for some Ka-traps on my road trip to NJ for spring break If not I will go crazy

The weekend after my spring break I am going home to pick up my volvo and see some friends so I guarantee the V1 will be tested as well as my jammers and other stuff

And As for falsing With K-band automute enable it is quieter than my bel.

I already turned off POP and made Ka more responsive
