When you use a rd where its illegal, where do you put it? Where do the cop search? and dont search?

i found a GOOD place in my car. I simply remove the plastic between the driver seat and the passenger (my car is manual) and put my rd at this place, and put back the plastic... remove it is enough hard... Do you think that a leo will check at this place? I can do it in 7 seconds.

Try this..If your dash comes off really easy under the steering wheel, pop it off and put it in there and just snap it right back up .

I haven't been pulled of with a radar detector, at least not yet maybe someone day I will as no one is 100% immune.

I have been through an illegal unconstitutional sobriety check point with mine. I just turned it off. The officer had no idea about the detector as it is mounted very stealth.

I felt like telling the officer that the checkpoint is unconstitutional and that they would catch more drunks in the area with saturation patrols instead but he didn't look like he could handle the truth. So I just told the LEO my usual lie whenever I engage a checkpoint and I was on my way.

Get an STi, conceal it and don't worry. Just watch the breaks at night.

The OPP love to pace you at night, so if the road it empty speed on the right lane so they are not in your blind spot.

:?: What if he sees/detects your detector while you’re driving than he pulls you over for it but you hide it before he comes? I think if you have a good enough hiding spot you can refuse to let him search your car. If he does and doesn’t find it he can do nothing.

The LEO could find many reasons to search your car. EG: does it have illegal mods, suspect of contraband, etc.

The idea is to have your RD in such a place that it will not be seen by the LEO.

Tint your windows
Build a custom box and make it look like something else

If they see it, and you move it they will search your vehicle 100%. They do this for a living and know all the tricks we do.
